The Seven Provinces of Costa Rica

Costa Rica is composed of 7 provinces, which are further divided into 81 cantons.

Each canton is led by a mayor who is democratically elected every four years.

Each canton is further divided into districts.

The seven provinces of Costa Rica are:

Puntarenas
